Combined we total over 300 years of floral experience! We specialize in unique & custom designs, coupled with the freshest products, hand-selected directly from the fields of California growers and imported tropical floral shipped fresh from Hawaii. Each month we will highlight a Log Cabin Florist staff member and include a short personal note so that you may get acquainted with each one individually. Meet Crystal
“Hi, I’m Crystal and I have been working at Log Cabin Florist for almost 6 years. I had always heard that is was the best shop in town, and now I have gotten to experience it first hand…and it is! I enjoy working in the office as Accounts Receivable. When I help design, knowing it will bring a smile to someone special, makes it all worthwhile.”
Crystal has been an employee of Log Cabin Florist for over 6 years, beginning as a sales associate, eventually joining the office staff as Office Manager. As our accounts receivable clerk, Crystal has a challenging position, and yet she handles it with compassion for the customer while keeping it professional at all times. During the course of her day, she handles the banking, helps smooth out any issues the sales staff may have, and during holiday time can also jump in to join the design team. Now, that’s an all-around valuable employee! Crystal is a wonderful co-worker that can always be depended upon to be available when a need arises. She’s a sweet-spirited lady with a heart for doing right at all times, which just adds to the many reasons we are happy she chose Log Cabin as her place of employment!
Meet Janie
“It has been my privilege to be associated with Log Cabin Florist for over 18 years. Working along-side the most talented professionals in the business makes my job seamless. My job titles have evolved from sales to designer, then in the past 5 years I have become their accounts payable clerk, marketer, payroll clerk, as well as handling the insurances and retirement accounts. I think I have even delivered an item or 2! It is a joy to work in an environment that is beautiful, and seeming more like a family than co-workers. You know what they say…”If the good Lord’s willing and the creeks don’t rise” I will be here until I retire!”
Five years ago Terry was retiring and I needed to find just the right person to handle accounts payable and so much more. Janie had just moved back from the Coast and thankfully said yes when I asked her to come back to our Log Cabin Family. She jumped right in and learned the payables system and I kept adding duties from that day on. From Employee benefits; payroll; scheduling, shop classes to design, Janie competently handles it all. Janie is truly one of the cornerstones that make up the Log Cabin Dream Team! Five years ago neither of us would have thought we would be marketing on the web or setting up a Log Cabin app on an i-phone; but we head to Dallas next week to do just that.
