To keep employees motivated and up to date, we bring in guest designers to demonstrate their techniques. Dawn Baumgarten, owner of Log Cabin Florist, encourages her staff with training, education and guest designers, to expand their knowledge of the floral industry and keep up with the ever-changing trends of floral design and shop display.

Log Cabin was honored to have Chris Brazil, owner of Ramblin' Rose in Lemoore, be our guest designer in January. Chris is a long-time professional with over 30 years of floral design experience. He has studied with many well-know designers over the years and has participated in and placed in design competitions in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Los Angeles and throughout the Central Valley and Central Coast areas. Chris has been featured in national floral trade magazines and has also served as a floral designer for the Tournament of Roses' parade. He opened Ramblin' Rose Flower Shop in August 1989, and in 2008 was chosen Business of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.

We appreciate the day Chris spent at Log Cabin and the fresh design ideas he introduced to our staff. We will look forward to seeing what other professionals in the industry have to share with our employees, and perhaps they will be able to take away unique ideas of design style and display that have made Log Cabin knows as "The Best in Bakersfield" by our customers and friends.
